Just like driving there are always many ways of getting from A to B ...

but we all need to know where we are going and how to get there! That is why understanding why you have come to see us and what you want to achieve is crucial at the start of our journey in order to plan our route!

Our great Physio team can help with all sorts of problems. If you are injured, unwell, had surgery, have a niggle that won’t go away, want to maintain or improve your general movement or function, or simply want to get fit and feel great, we can help.

Our team has got heaps of experience and knowledge to draw on. We love learning about the body, how it moves and works. We continue to do loads of extra study with some amazing clinicians from all over the world. We like to keep things functional and look at the whole body not just the sore part(s). We also often do joint sessions with you as we know you love it and we reckon two heads are better than one!

Sometimes we need to treat the sore bit but more often we find ourselves treating and retraining other bits to move better so as things don’t get overloaded, over worked, strained, tired, stiff or angry.

After assessing your postures and movements and finding the underlying cause of your problem we know where to start and make a plan which is all about ….

  • releasing and changing your old movement habits
  • aligning your body better and getting it stacked up
  • re-training a new and better way of moving

By doing this we rewire and re-programme your lovely brain

‘Simples’ says the Meerkat!

Training your brain is actually a massive bit of what we do. You understanding better, being more aware, less worried and feeling your body better are all crucial in rewiring your brains software to get you moving and feeling great. It is never too late to do this. You really can teach old dogs new tricks! Our patients are constantly amazed how easy it is to make the changes and break habits of a life time. How empowering is that!

We also need to make some physical changes to your body. This is nothing to worry about and is NOT the “no pain no gain” philosophy of old! We can start changing how your body moves using various different manual techniques, dry needling, Acupuncture, Clinical Pilates and movement retraining exercises. Above all educating you and making you more aware is “quay” to doing this. It’s often the simplest things that can make all the difference!

I have, over the years, seen many Physiotherapists in cities throughout the world but I can state without any fear of contradiction that following my treatment at QuayPhysio, the bar has been raised on how one should expect to be treated. The basic philosophy of treating the cause not necessarily the symptoms has been a real eye opener, with truly amazing results. I have got rid of niggles and pains I have had for years that I thought I had to live with. It would not be too extravagant to say it has been a life changing experience!
